Birch back & sides. Single-bound top. Unbound back. Unbound headstock. Unbound walnut fingerboard with pearloid dot inlay. Nickel plated tuners. Sunburst finish. One year warranty. Introduced: ca 1951 as a replacement for Model 47 ?. ca 1955: Renamed Model 54. Changed tuners (old style tuners used until ca 1958). Also available in satin finish (Model 55). Latest known example: 1963 .
